Association of Multiple Cerebral Aneurysms and Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation: Case Report and Review of the Literature*

چکیده
The incidence of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is about 10-11 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The true incidence of multiple aneurysms is not known, however, according to previous studies it may vary between 20% and 30%. The association of arteriovenous malformation and cerebral aneurysm is well documented and varies between 20% and 30%. A case is described of a 47-year-old female presenting with massive acute subarachnoid hemorrhage. Computed tomography and cerebral panangiography revealed seven saccular aneurysms (five along the left anterior cerebral artery and its branches, one at the left M1/2 junction, and one in the anterior communicating artery), and an arteriovenous malformation involving the left frontal and parietal lobe fed mostly by the left anterior cerebral artery. Neurosurgeons clipped all seven aneurysms and then the arteriovenous malformation was extirpated.

A Rare Association between Meningioma and Two Intracranial Vascular Lesions: Case Report and Review of Literature
Background & Importance: Our study was performed based on the first case, reported in English, of a patient with three contemporary lesions, an extra-axial malformation and two vascular ones. Case Presentation: A 62-year-old man referred to our clinic due to right hand tremor associated to a slowing of idea-forming function and movements. The neuroradiological evidence showed a right fronto-te...
متن کاملLenticulostriate Artery Aneurysm Associated with Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation: Report of Rare Association and Its Endovascular Management
Aneurysms involving the lenticulostriate artery (LSA) are rare and are described in the literature in small case series or single-case reports. A recent literature review identified fewer than 60 cases reported till date, and the management of these aneurysms varied from conservative approach to endovascular occlusion and surgical excision.1 The literature on endovascular treatment is rare; how...
متن کاملAssociation between a ruptured distal anterior inferior cerebral artery aneurysm and arteriovenous malformation fed by the same artery.
Distal aneurysms of the anterior inferior cerebellar artery (AICA) are rare and only few cases located in its medial branch have been reported. Their occurrence in combination with high-flow lesions in the same arterial territory is even more striking. We report on a case of a patient with spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), whose diagnostic investigation indicated the presence of arteri...
متن کاملMultiple middle meningeal artery aneurysms associated with fistulous galenic arteriovenous malformation: a case report.
Non-traumatic multiple saccular aneurysms of the middle meningeal artery are extremely rare lesions. In our case the patient was a 51-year-old woman admitted with complaints of progressive headache. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a dilatation of the vein of galen malformation. Cerebral angiography revealed multiple saccular aneurysms of the middle meningeal artery and fistulous type of galen...
متن کاملSimulation study of Hemodynamic in Bifurcations for Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation using Electrical Analogy
Background and Objective: Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (CAVM) hemodynamic is disease condition, results changes in the flow and pressure level in cerebral blood vessels. Measuring flow and pressure without catheter intervention along the vessel is big challenge due to vessel bifurcations/complex bifurcations in Arteriovenous Malformation patients. The vessel geometry in CAVM patients are...
